Warranty

Limited Three-Year Residential Warranty

1. Warranty Coverage

New Classic Cabinetry Inc. (“NCC”) warrants to the original residential purchaser that cabinets and vanities manufactured by NCC will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for a period of three (3) years from the date of original purchase (“Warranty Period”).

This Limited Three-Year Warranty (“Warranty”) applies only to products purchased for residential use within the United States and installed and used in accordance with NCC’s installation, care, and maintenance guidelines. Except where prohibited by law, this Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original residential purchaser.

2. Original Residential Purchaser Defined

An original residential purchaser is an individual who purchases and installs NCC cabinets or vanities in a dwelling that the individual owns and occupies as a primary or secondary residence. Primary or secondary residences do not include rental, income-producing, or commercial properties.

For purposes of this Warranty, the term original residential purchaser also includes a builder, contractor, or developer who purchases and installs NCC cabinetry or vanities in a newly constructed or renovated dwelling intended for occupancy by the initial owner as a primary or secondary residence.

This Warranty does not apply to landlords, leasing companies, property managers, or other commercial purchasers.

3. Warranty Period

The Warranty Period begins on the original date of purchase, whether the product is purchased directly by the original residential purchaser or by a third party on the purchaser’s behalf.

Coverage under this Warranty terminates if the dwelling is sold, transferred, or no longer occupied by the original residential purchaser as a primary or secondary residence.

4. Exclusions and Limitations

This Warranty does not cover, and NCC shall have no responsibility for, cabinets, vanities, or components affected by or resulting from:

  • Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to surface wear, finish aging, loosening of hardware over time, or changes resulting from regular use;
  • Improper installation, maintenance, or cleaning, including failure to follow NCC’s written guidelines;
  • Misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, or unauthorized modification or repair;
  • Exposure to excessive moisture, humidity, water intrusion, or extreme temperatures;
  • Improper storage prior to installation or placement in excessively humid environments;
  • Environmental conditions beyond NCC’s control, including fire, flood, storms, or other natural disasters;
  • Outdoor installation or use in non-residential settings.

Natural variations in wood color, grain, texture, and the natural expansion or contraction of wood due to changes in temperature or humidity are inherent characteristics of wood products and are not considered defects under this Warranty.

4.1 Soft-Close Hardware

Soft-close hinges, drawer slides, and other motion-control hardware components are mechanical parts subject to wear through normal residential use. Under this Warranty, soft-close hardware is covered only for defects in materials or workmanship occurring during the Warranty Period.

This Warranty does not cover:

  • Gradual loss or reduction of soft-close or dampening performance over time due to normal use;
  • Normal wear of internal dampers, springs, or moving components;
  • Adjustment issues caused by normal settling of cabinetry, alignment changes, or installation conditions;
  • Loosening of screws, fasteners, or hardware requiring routine adjustment or maintenance;
  • Damage resulting from misuse, excessive force, slamming, overloading of drawers, or improper adjustment.

Soft-close hardware components are considered serviceable and replaceable wear items and may require periodic adjustment or replacement as part of normal maintenance. Such maintenance or replacement does not constitute a defect under this Warranty.

5. Remedy

If a defect in materials or workmanship covered by this Warranty is discovered during the Warranty Period and reported to NCC, NCC shall, at its sole discretion:

  • Repair the defective product or component;
  • Replace the defective product or component with the same or a comparable product; or
  • If repair or replacement is not commercially feasible, provide a credit toward the purchase of a similar NCC product.

These remedies constitute the sole and exclusive remedies available under this Warranty.

6. Additional Limitations

This Warranty is limited strictly to the repair or replacement of defective parts only and does not include labor, removal, reinstallation, adjustment, or transportation costs.

This Warranty does not apply to products used in conjunction with NCC cabinetry or vanities, including but not limited to countertops, appliances, plumbing fixtures, decorative hardware, or lighting.

Replacement products are subject to NCC’s current product offerings, styles, and construction methods. If the original product has been discontinued or is no longer available, NCC may substitute a product of similar style and quality. Exact matches in color, finish, or design are not guaranteed.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NCC’s total liability under this Warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price paid for the defective cabinet or vanity.

NCC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of use, inconvenience, or property damage, except where such limitations are prohibited by applicable law.

8. Implied Warranties

To the extent permitted by law, all implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the three (3) year Warranty Period.

Some states do not allow limitations on the duration of implied warranties, so this limitation may not apply to you.

9. State Law Rights

This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

10. Warranty Claims Procedure

Environmental & Humidity Disclaimer

Wood products naturally expand and contract in response to changes in temperature and humidity. To maintain the appearance and performance of your cabinetry, indoor relative humidity should be maintained between 35% and 50%. Humidity levels below 20% or above 80% should be avoided.

Seasonal movement of wood components, including mitered doors, is a natural characteristic of wood and does not constitute a defect under this Warranty. In most cases, once environmental conditions stabilize for a sustained period, these effects will diminish or resolve.

Dealer Disclosure Requirement:
No dealer, distributor, salesperson, or representative of NCC is authorized to modify, expand, or extend this Warranty, including by making oral statements or representations regarding “lifetime,” “maintenance-free,” or guaranteed performance of soft-close hardware or other components. Any such statements shall not be binding on NCC unless expressly set forth in writing by NCC.
